⚠️ Field Day Weather Update — Saturday Cancellation

Due to thunderstorms and lightning forecasted for our area, the club will cancel all Field Day activities on Saturday, June 27th. This decision is being made to protect all participants, equipment, and the site from hazardous conditions.

 

Field Day operations will resume as scheduled on Sunday, June 28th, so please plan accordingly.

 

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Join Us for a Weekend of Radio, Fun, and Food!

The Kent County Amateur Radio Club (KCARC) invites all members, guests, and the public to our 2026 Summer Field Day, happening 28th. This annual event celebrates the spirit of amateur radio, bringing together operators of all experience levels for a weekend of communication, learning, and community.

 

📡 Event Highlights

  • Live Radio Operations: Experience hands-on HF, VHF setups. Whether you’re a seasoned ham or just curious, there’s something for everyone.

  • Community Outreach: Learn how amateur radio supports emergency communications and public service.

  • Food and Fellowship: Enjoy great food and good company throughout the weekend.

🕒 Schedule

  • Saturday, June 27: Setup begins in the morning, (Setup time, 10am). Operations start at 2pm til 7pm. (Cancelled due to weather concerns).

  • Sunday, June 28: (Setup time, 8am) Continued operations and tear-down, 9am to 5pm. (Will go on as scheduled)

🎯 Purpose

Field Day is more than just a contest—it’s a chance to test equipment, practice emergency readiness, and share the excitement of radio with the community. KCARC members will be on hand to help newcomers get on the air and explain how amateur radio connects people across the world.
